A REGENERATIVE EDUCATION RESEARCH & INNOVATION LAB
In an interconnected world, challenges are increasingly complex. At Regenesys, we see schools, universities and organisations as living systems, where people, ideas, places and decisions are connected. Our research and practice help learners and leaders understand these connections and develop more thoughtful ways of learning, leading and contributing to regenerative futures.
Understanding Relationships. Navigating Complexity. Designing for Thriving.
**Regenesys was founded by Soumi Duttagupta following nearly a decade of practice across classrooms, universities and organisations.

WHY REGENESYS
The defining challenges of our time, including climate change, biodiversity loss, the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and social inequity, do not exist in isolation. Yet education continues to divide knowledge into separate subjects and learning into standardised experiences.
Regenesys explores how learning can help people recognise relationships, navigate complexity and participate responsibly in the systems of which they are a part.
WHO WE WORK WITH

We partner with school leaders and teachers to make teaching and learning more regenerative. Viewing schools as living systems, we connect curriculum with place, community, creativity and the relationships that shape how children learn.
Curriculum integration · Teacher development · Classroom pilots

We conduct regenerative systems-thinking workshops that help students connect disciplines and understand complexity. We also partner with faculty to integrate these approaches into everyday teaching and future course design.
Student workshops · Faculty learning · Interdisciplinary teaching · Collaborative research

Helping leaders and teams develop systems awareness and regenerative approaches to complex challenges.
Leadership learning · Systems mapping · Sustainability and organisational learning
OUR APPROACH
Our work is grounded in regenerative education and in what we call the Living Being Way of Teaching and Learning.
Just as living systems grow through relationships, adaptation and continuous exchange, meaningful learning emerges through connections among learners, educators, knowledge, community, place and the living world.
Through sustained practice, research and reflection, this understanding has evolved into the Regenesys Living Systems Framework—a relational and adaptive approach to learning and leadership.
We collaborate with schools, universities and organisations to create learning experiences that respond to complexity, place and a changing world.
THE CONDITION
Sustainability challenges, resource management, and social inequality are not isolated problems. They are deeply interconnected — shaped by relationships, feedback loops, and the decisions we make.
Yet most education still teaches us to look at problems separately, even though real-world decisions are never isolated in their impact.
What we need is the ability to see systems, understand complexity, and create more resilient futures.
Subjects taught in isolation — no connection between fields
Limited understanding of how systems connect and interact
Fragmented problem-solving applied to complex challenges
Decisions with unintended consequences across systems
Complex problems persist — and grow more entangled
THREE GUIDING IDEAS
These three convictions are not abstract beliefs — they shape every curriculum design, every leadership dialogue, and every organisational engagement. They are the foundation of the regenerative approach.
